Proto - Zoe

She's three weeks old and finally had her first bath! That's not to say that we didn't clean her up with sponge baths--we're not like that psycho German family that Susie used to nanny for who didn't plan to bathe their baby until it turned one--but her umbilical cord fell off this past week giving us the freedom to stick her all the way in the water. She wasn't a huge fan, but did smile when I dribbled that first bit of water on to her body. So I yelled for Sarah to get Daddy to bring the camera and once he had the camera on, she cried through most of the recording. Not going to post it... got her modesty to protect, you know, but I do love the way newborn hair sticks up all over the place when it's clean. So I had to post this picture. I love the way she's crossing her legs, too.

That is such a sweet picture. I am glad we have blogs to keep up. I'm sorry that you are not getting much sleep. That part sucks.

precious little baby.
I love the leg crossing too.
First baths are always one of my favorite events in newborn age.

uuuuugh! Yeah! We were so mean, until one day we were scared that maybe there was a camera hidden in the house somewhere....
and then we were paranoid up the ying yang!

I'll never forget those legs on that baby... gross!
I wonder how old that boy is now.. and how messed up he probably is because of his "scheduling" as a baby.

don't get me wrong, Trish, we weren't mean - abusive mean -
Let's just say we didn't put that baby on the schedule the mom told Susan to.

Man - that was one wierd baby - mom - experience.

We racked our brains trying to figure out where that nanny-cam was. We would go into certain rooms and "act" a certain way thinking we were being watched!

Aaaugh! Memories.
Trish - you would have loved being in that psycho house with us! We were craza lada's

what's this we crap.

nancy that was YOU.

i was the paranoid one.

you would come over and act weird. i stuck to the schedule pretty good....i didn't know i wasn't supposed to bath him until i did and told them.
i didn't know i wasn't supposed to take him on a walk in the stoller outside until i told them about it

i didn't know i wasn't supposed to listen to music at their house until they came home one day when i was listening to it.

i didn't know i wasn't supposed to have you over until she came home that day and you were there, or were just leaving or something.

that is when you came over acting all wierd saying those "things" and laughing hysterically because i asked you to shut up!
i totally thought there was a camera after all those "mess ups" and you totally were trying to see if there was by saying all that stuff.......you were mean not me.

i was freakin scared out my pants thinking they were going to come after me or something. and you totally thought that was funny.

it was scary to me, not funny at all....i laughed when trish brought up the bath thing, because i didn't think she'd remember that, but that was why i was laughing....ya nanz, you thought it was funny because you had the perfect nanny job....they were good to you.

man, they had a humongous house too.

i actually wonder about the german family sometimes, and he would be 14 and a half ish.....his half brother would be 24 now, he was a nice kid.
